And so we have reached the 6th issue of Animus. The road to this moment has not been without difficulty, but the effort has always felt worthwhile, and the need to find ways to sort through the cinema of today has never felt more urgent. Though this issue includes five essays instead of the usual six, this is only due to how incredibly hard it is to get any work done in December. When it wasn’t spent eating very rich food and watching tonnes of films, much of this month was taken with setting down the first stones for exciting projects to come. The magazine will only grow from there.
